The jewelry-box tree behind my building
I posted about this last year, about my neighbor who decorates his tree every year, and it reminds me of a jewelry box flung up into the sky ... well, I took a picture this year. Not a great picture, but a picture none the less. I think it captures, at least a very little bit, what I like about this tree ... or maybe I'm just weird. It's happened before

I just drove by a house that had lights everywhere imaginable. The sides of the house, the roof, the windows, yard, and fence. Sometimes people going all out like that come up with some gorgeous things. This house was a disaster. People were almost driving off the road being blinded by it. I'll have to take a pic...
