A guy beating up his wife doesn't warrant a 911 call in Laramie

So someone I know finally got tired of his neighbors fighting -- very physically -- and called 911 over the weekend ... only to be told by the dispatcher that they don't handle domestic disturbances on the 911 line anymore, he would have to call back on their non-emergency line.

Are you kidding me?!?

Way to go, Laramie PD! You're really combatting domestic violence with that kind of approach. Why should it be treated as an emergency? Really ...
