Alaska, Day 3
At an outcropping of rock known as Beluga Point, I scrabbled around on jagged rocks, admired water marks left on the rocks from higher tides, evaded a persistent bee, and did not see a beluga whale.
I DID see this phenomenal view (and variations on it), and that was enough for me. And there was another mountain goat on the hillside behind me, across the highway, overlooking the Turnagain Arm (that's the water you're looking at here — the Turnagain Arm).
