Too random to be labeled

I about wet my pants laughing at Prodigal John's score card for being a singleton in the church. I didn't tally my score, but the resonance was apparently strong 'round the world. I think he's sitting at 200+ comments on that one.

I love rain. But I also use it as an excuse to not work out, whether indoors or out. I like to lie in bed and revel in the comfy feeling of being warm and sleepy while the sky is gray and drippy. And then I like to make coffee and slug around my apartment while texting my brother. Working out does not figure into this equation, which means it was Saturday when I last did anything more exerting than climbing the stairs to my apartment. Ick.

Today is Matt and Molly's second wedding anniversary, so congrats to those two crazy kids.

I felt a surge of envy when I was talking to Eve on Sunday and she mentioned working in her yard and her out-of-control batch of rhubarb. She may have noticed it, too, because she offered me some rhubarb. Some days, I'd really like to have a lawn to mow. In the meantime, I'll happily accept rhubarb.

I heard a rumor that the new landlords may allow cats, so I'm contemplating.

Photos of the weekend are up on Flickr, but to see anything more engaging than my wobbly scenery shots of trees and rocks and clouds, you'll need to be logged in and be my Flickr contact. Sorry, but the clampdown had to happen after a group of pervy weirdos discovered my glasses and kept linking to them on some (creepy) fetish Web site. My glasses should never be more popular than I am. Ever. I had to do the same thing with Facebook after some local perverts and their video cameras came out of the woodwork. I'm also wielding a new, pretty, pink canister of pepper spray. Personal safety does not mean sacrificing wardrobe color coordination.

If you're looking for a(n illegal) way to supplement your income, just take organic chemistry. A friend learned last week how to make meth and distill alcohol; they made crack today.

One thing from home that I miss was the sound of rain on the roof tops. Soooothing. It's been a nice week, so far.

I shamelessly kifted the link to being a Singleton in the Church. While I haven't seen a lot of those expierences in my current church, several friends at the churches I left behind know those expierences all too well.

As for Flickr, yeah... there's a reason I don't post a any pictures of me, and very few of other people on that website. (I made several exceptions for my trip to Yuma and Mexico, but that's about it.) Definatly protect your image. And your glasses.

Your hot, sultry, come-hither eyeware...
;-)

As for income supplements, I have the whole Karaoke gig thing now, so I'll leave the home chemistry alone. Although the idea of bathtub distiling intrigues me.
