police call du jour

A guy calls dispatch today (Jan. 29) from the Library Bar's package liquor department to report a cold hit-and-run accident.

He was hit as a pedestrian and was so incoherent at the time that he couldn't call it in until now.

He was hit Jan. 9.

I still maintain that the call from the guy who'd locked himself in the closet to get away from his wife before calling 911 is the best one I've ever heard.
