Just a good week ... and it's only Tuesday

Happy June, everyone.

It started Saturday night (technically still May, but hey ... close enough).

We got off work, and the night was so gorgeous and warm and sweet, I just had to get out and enjoy it. So I did. I threw some shoes on, called my mom and proceeded to enjoy the warm night walking around the park before driving for an ice cream cone and watching "The Last of the Mohicans."

Side note: I still get shivers at two points in the movie: a) in the surgery, when he's staring at Cora, and she asks him what he's looking at ... "why, I'm lookin' at you, miss." And b) when he gives his "I will find you" speech before jumping over the waterfall ... be still, my fluttery heart.

Sunday was good -- I'm still sore from all the good. Church. All the vacation laundry (finally!!) done ... just in time to start packing for the next trip. Walking hither and yon (and yon. and yon.) Finally got to see "Atonement," which was actually a rather depressing movie ... but one of the previews was for (drum roll, please) Season 1 of "Crossing Jordan" FINALLY coming out on DVD. Huzzah! A late-night chat with a nervous Amber the night before her internship began (the dilemma: an intimidating pair of red heels). A birthday chat with new mommy Brooke, who told me all about Quincy and how utterly adorable he is and how she's completely in love with him. Shiny, clean floors. Good things!

Monday was Monday ... but not terrible, still. Good coffee. Finished another book. Ate a mango. Drank wine.

Today ... is still pretty much in the beginning phase, but it's already included a new haircut, some great photos (and on-sale frames) at Wal-Mart and being told that I looked like a movie star with my huge sunglasses. (Insert dazzling movie star smile here)

Tomorrow involves a new driver's license. I'm kind of excited about that.

Happy June.

Wow, usually people would fear the new driver's license and the dreaded photo that comes along with it. Stay strong....
